52:2013 Week 2

The theme this week was Water Drop Refraction so went for a simple set up.
Equipment:
- Canon 500D Camera tripod mounted
- Canon EF-S 60mm Macro Lens
- 52mm Extension Tubes
- Canon 430EX Speedlite tripod mounted
- Canon Speedlite transmitter
- Babies' medicine syringe with water
- A4 yellow card with smiley face eyes and mouth drawn on it with black pen.


Card, upside down, was about 300mm from the camera lens and the syringe complete with drop was about 40mm from the camera lens. Off camera flash was remote triggered and aimed at the yellow card and was shielded from the camera and the drop by a flag made from black paper. I selected manual focussing.
